Mshini 2018 Wrap-Up

December 24, 2018

It’s been a very busy year for us here at Mshini. We have implemented new products, added multiple new servers and made many improvements to our core infrastructure to make our WordPress hosting as efficient as possible. Here’s a look into what we’ve been up to in 2018.

Dedicated Servers

We have made it possible for anyone to make use of a Dedicated Hosting Option. This is ideal for customers that need to host a single high-traffic WordPress site or multiple smaller sites on their own server.

Free Dev Plan

This year we were pleased to offer WordPress site builders and developers our Free Dev Plan, the option to add and create up to 3 WordPress websites simultaneously without paying monthly hosting fees. This takes the burden off people looking to create concepts and prototypes, without additional costs. Once you’re pleased with the result, you can migrate to a full hosting plan with a single click!

SSH tools

The Mshini Control Panel now has the option to enable SSH, developers no longer need to contact support to enable it. The new tool also allows you the freedom to add and remove public keys as you need.

Site Migrations

Early this year, we implemented our Migration Plugin that does all the heavy-lifting of moving your site to Mshini. You can now move any WordPress site with a few clicks, rather than going through the laborious process of downloading, zipping and uploading content via FTP. It’s as simple as adding a small plugin straight from your WordPress dashboard.

You!

Lastly, but most importantly, we’d like to thank each and every one of our customers for their support in 2018. Our customer base has grown significantly over the last 12 months and we look forward to what the new year has in store. We wish all of you a blessed festive season and a prosperous 2019!

Just a reminder that we will continue to be available on live chat and via email to assist with any support and billing related queries during this holiday period. If you have an emergency query after hours or on a public holiday, please email us at hello@mshini.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We have 24/7/365 infrastructure monitoring in place to alert us in the event of any service disruption.
