Chrome to mark all non-SSL sites “Not secure” with July Update
Google has announced that it will be marking all websites without an SSL certificate as “Not secure” in July’s scheduled Chrome update as part of their stated goal to encourage HTTPS encryption on all websites.
How does this impact your website?
If you have not enabled SSL on your website, you will have a badge next to your URL in Google Chrome that warns users that the site is not secure.
